BDO Global

BDO was founded in 1963 by firms from the UK, Netherlands, Germany, the United States and Canada. The organisation adopted the BDO name in 1973, drawing on the initials of three founding European firms: Binder, Dijker and Otte.

BDO Global coordinates a network of independent member firms rather than operating as a single global partnership. Together, those firms provide audit and assurance, tax, advisory, and business services and outsourcing to companies, public-sector organisations and other clients across local and international markets.

Its strongest differentiator is cross-border delivery at mid-market scale: BDO combines local regulatory and industry knowledge with shared methodologies and international coordination. In its latest reported year, tax was the fastest-growing major service line, while advisory also grew ahead of overall network revenue.
