Baker Tilly

Baker Tilly traces its origins to 1870 and took its current name in 1988 after the merger of Howard Tilly and Baker Rooke. The international network was formed in 1987 and rebranded as Baker Tilly in 2002. Its member firms are separate legal entities rather than one global operating company.

The network provides audit and assurance, tax, advisory, consulting and legal services. In the United States, Baker Tilly and Moss Adams combined in June 2025 and continue under the Baker Tilly name, creating a large middle-market professional-services firm with broader advisory, tax and assurance capabilities.

For students, Baker Tilly is especially relevant for exposure to privately held and middle-market businesses, alongside work in transactions, risk, digital, public sector and industry-focused consulting. Its scale also provides access to cross-border work through the wider international network.
