About Aventum Group

Aventum traces its roots to 1996, when David Bearman founded a small commercial broker in East London under the name Direct Insurance. The business was rebranded as Aventum in 2021 and has since developed into an independent, privately owned specialty (re)insurance group.

The group operates across broking, underwriting, claims, risk management and advisory services. Its two principal platforms are Consilium, a Lloyd’s and London Market specialty broker, and Rokstone, a global underwriting MGA, supported by specialist businesses including Novus, Aura, iSure, iFarm, Securus and Verus.

Aventum is especially strong in niche and complex insurance classes where specialist underwriting, delegated authority and wholesale distribution matter. Its scale is concentrated in specialty Property and Casualty (re)insurance, with a model that combines entrepreneurial product development, London Market access and technology-enabled insurance operations.
