AustralianSuper

AustralianSuper was formed on 1 July 2006 through the merger of the Australian Retirement Fund, the Superannuation Trust of Australia and Finsuper. It is an industry superannuation fund operated for members rather than shareholders.

The fund manages retirement savings for more than 3.6 million members and invests across major asset classes, markets and the capital spectrum through a global in-house investment team. Its member products include diversified premixed options, single-asset choices and a direct-investment option.

For prospective interns, AustralianSuper is especially relevant for its scale, institutional investment platform and exposure to long-term investing in public and private markets, including equities, fixed income, infrastructure and property.
