Arena Investors, LP

Arena Investors was founded in 2015 in partnership with The Westaim Corporation. Westaim's 2025 annual report says it now owns 100% of Arena's equity interests, subject to profit-sharing arrangements with members of Arena's investment team and other partners. Arena is headquartered in New York and operates through offices in the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

The firm is an institutional asset manager focused on alternative credit and special situations. It invests across corporate private credit, real estate, structured finance, asset-backed securities, secondaries and other opportunistic situations, using structures such as senior and mezzanine loans, asset purchases, joint ventures, preferred equity and securitizations.

Arena is especially strong at underwriting assets and transactions that do not fit standard bank or private-credit mandates. Its published examples include commercial receivables, aircraft and equipment, legal settlements, trade finance, mortgages, specialty-finance companies and other stressed, distressed, illiquid or esoteric assets. Investment teams typically target tailored financings where speed, flexible structuring and asset-level analysis matter more than a conventional EBITDA-based lending model.
