Accenture’s roots trace to the 1989 separation of Andersen Consulting from Arthur Andersen; it operated under the Andersen Consulting name before becoming Accenture in 2001. Its parent company is incorporated and headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.

The firm combines strategy and consulting with technology, operations, Song and Industry X services. It helps companies and governments redesign operating models, build digital and AI capabilities, implement enterprise platforms and run business processes at scale.

Accenture is especially strong where consulting advice must be connected to large-scale execution: global delivery, cloud and technology implementation, systems integration, managed operations and enterprise AI adoption. Its scale gives early-career staff exposure to large clients and multidisciplinary teams, although roles can vary considerably by practice and location.
